Eric Belew scored his first career touchdown on Oct. 27, at Tennessee State... averaged more that 10 yards per catch... totaled 240 all-purpose yards during the 2012 season... displayed his skills off the field as well making the Athletic Director's Honor Roll in the spring.

(AT TECH IN 2012): Belew played in every game for the Golden Eagles last season... pulled in six receptions for a total of 63 yards... scored his first career touchdown on a 41-yard reception from Darian Stone at Tennessee State on Oct. 27... returned 10 kicks throughout the season for a total of 177 yards... longest return was 40 yards at home against Eastern Kentucky on Oct. 20... 240 all-purpose yards for the entire season.

IN HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year starter for the Lions at Columbia Central High School, Eric spent his prep career playing for his father, head coach Vance Belew and helped the Lions capture the 2010 TSSAA Class 5A state championship. As a wide receiver, free safety and return specialist, Belew visited the end zone 25 times in his career, including 18 touchdown catches. He finished his career with 96 catches for 1,959 yards. On defense, he made 144 total tackles and 12 interceptions in three seasons. He also returned two punts, one kickoff and two interceptions for scores. Following the 2011 season he was named all-state and all Mid-State and the Defensive MVP of District 8AAA. He was also a key member of the CCHS track team in sprints and relays.
